Educators in Afghanistan’s Farah Province have renewed calls for the Taliban to allow girls to attend high school, RFE/RL Gandhara reported.
Girls are not allowed to attend high school in all but two provinces, the outlet reported, leading to concern that many girls will be forced to abruptly end their education at 6th grade. The Taliban has said education will be allowed for girls but they have not issued a formal policy.
Meanwhile teachers have been working without pay due to a worsening economic crisis, RFE/RL Gandhara reported. This report was filmed by RFE/RL Gandhara. Credit: RFE/RL Gandhara via Storyful
