Afghan Children Draw Chalk Art at New Jersey Base

Afghan children drew chalk art at US Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, footage released by the Department of Defense on September 5 shows.

At least 50,000 Afghans have been provided with transportation, temporary housing, medical screening and general support at facilities across the United States, the US military said.

Two initiatives, Operation Allies Welcome and Operation Allies Refuge, aim to provide Afghan evacuees with essential support as US authorities attempt to resettle them.
