Aerial Footage Shows Kilauea Volcano's Active Fissures Erupting into Lava Lake

Scientists with the US Geological Survey (USGS) captured video showing two fissures continuing to erupt lava into the growing lava lake in the Halemaʻumaʻu crater of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano on December 22.

This aerial footage, taken from a helicopter as scientists were monitoring the volcano’s activity , shows lava flowing from two fissures in the volcano’s crater.
