Aerial Footage Shows Deadly Flooding in Italian Town

At least 10 people were dead and four missing after heavy rain brought intense flooding to the town of Senigallia, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, local media said on September 16.

Italy’s national fire service, the Vigili del Fuoco, released this aerial video showing flooding in Senigallia, in Italy’s Marche region.

The Misa River flowing through Senigallia reached a peak early on Friday morning, and was slowly receding, the local municipality said.

An orange alert issued on Thursday remained in place for parts of western and southern Italy on Friday, including the Campania and Lazio regions, as rain and strong winds were expected to continue through to the afternoon. Credit: Vigili del Fuoco via Storyful
