'It's Actually Snowing': First Significant Falls of Season Hit New York

Residents in New York City were met with some belated snow on Monday, February 27, as a winter storm moved brought the first widespread falls to the area.

Footage from Manhattan Borough President Matt D. Levine shows snow falling in Hudson Heights on Monday evening.

“No your eyes do not deceive you… it’s actually snowing in NYC,” he captioned the footage.

The National Weather Service said slippery road conditions would impact the morning commute. A winter weather advisory was issued for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York until 10 am on Tuesday. Credit: Mark D. Levine via Storyful
