KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 — Australian actress Rebel Wilson has launched a dating app called Fluid for singles wanting to find ‘love without labels’.

Her passion project is a collaboration with a group of friends, who wanted to create a platform not limited by gender and sexual orientation, the Daily Mail reported.

The app matches couples based on who they are ‘vibing with’ and how much time users are spending looking at other people’s profile, allowing a wider range of potential partners.

“This is the first dating app where you don’t have to actually define yourself or tick a box to say ‘I’m straight, I’m gay, I’m bisexual’,” Wilson told People magazine.

“What’s really cool is, it’s open to everyone. You might just be interested in checking out a wider dating pool like I was.

“It covers a lot of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, but I think even if you're straight you could use the app and have an amazing time.”

Speaking to Life Uncut, a Sydney-based podcast this week about the app, Rebel, 42 revealed her motivation behind the project.

“I just thought, the other dating apps I think are a bit outdated then that you have to kind of tick a box and label yourself,” she said.

Rebel added that she would have used her new app had it been available to her while she was in the dating scene.

“Why I created Fluid was it’s just a very safe, very inclusive space where you don’t have to categorise yourself, so there can’t be any judgements,” she said.

The Bridesmaids star and her fashion designer girlfriend Ramona Agruma publicly announce that they’d been dating in June 2022.

“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove,” she wrote when she confirmed their relationship on Instagram.

The couple announced their daughter Royce’s arrival in November.

At the time, Rebel gushed that starting her own family was something that she dreamed of for years.
