Abbie Quinnen will open up her home tomorrow for a special Lorraine episode on the impact of her life-changing burns.

The 24-year-old dancer was left with third-degree burns and scars over her body in January after being set alight in a TikTok ‘life hack’ challenge gone wrong.

Quinnen, who is dating Strictly Come Dancing former pro AJ Pritchard, was left with marks covering her face and body which still need treatment.

Appearing on Lorraine tomorrow morning, Abbie will discuss her treatment which includes wearing a compression vest for 23 hours a day and keeping her burns out of sunlight, according to the Daily Mail.

She also has to moisturise the burns regularly to try and keep them down.

“I basically just have to use circular motions and keep all of my scars hydrated. And after I do that I use my silicone sheets,” she tells cameras.

“Then I put my compression vest on, which I wear for 23 hours a day.”

She will later discuss her burns with Songs of Praise host Katie Piper, who survived an acid attack in 2008 and needed pioneering surgery in order to see again.

Together, they meet up with other burns victims, and Abbie tries to find the confidence to wear a bikini again in order to swim this summer.

“I think when it happened I was just thinking the worst, my face is never going to look the same again, I'm always going to have scars on my body,” she said.

“I'm never going to be able to dance or perform and do what I love doing, so I instantly thought that was it for me. Luckily my face is healing really well.”

The accident, which occurred in January, happened when AJ, Abbie, and AJ’s brother Curtis Pritchard attempted to burn a bottle in order to make a vase.

In the trick, you douse a piece of string in lighter fluid, before tying it around the bottle and setting it alight.

However, things went wrong when they lit the string, with Abbie being set alight.

She was rushed to the hospital and has since needed multiple skin grafts.

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
