Aaron Rodgers reportedly lands in Green Bay in time for Packers training camp

Aaron Rodgers has landed.

Hours after reports that the Packers quarterback was on the verge of an agreement to play at least one more season in Green Bay, local media documented his late-night Monday arrival in a private jet at the Austin Straubel Airport. His return gets him to Green Bay in time for the start of Packers training camp on Wednesday.

Can Rodgers, Packers work it out?

The paparazzi atmosphere around an otherwise mundane plane landing is courtesy of Rodgers' offseason of discontent. The three-time NFL MVP is displeased with the state of the Packers to the point that he reportedly turned down an extension offer that would have made him the highest-paid player in football.

A pair of Monday reports from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter indicated that the two sides were close to a truce that would bring Rodgers back to Green Bay — for this season, at least. Per Schefter, a deal is in the works that would allow Rodgers out of his contract next season — two years earlier than the original agreement.

His arrival in Green Bay is one more signal that Rodgers and the Packers will run it back at least one more time. If so, will the 2021 season compel the two sides to stick together? Or will it be a swan song for the franchise's greatest quarterback?
