AARON BOONE: I would say that Aaron's hurting in a huge way. And I think, in a way, he felt like it was probably the responsible thing to take himself out, knowing that it was going to be hard for him to be all in mentally in what's, you know, a high-stake, difficult job to go out there and perform for the New York Yankees. And so I don't really even give two thoughts to that. My consideration is with Aaron and his well-being and making sure that, as best we can, we support him and try and be there as best we can for him right now. So this is something in the immediate that's real emotion that he's feeling, and, right now, I'm going to support that.

There's no question. I mean, it's changed a lot in that regard. And a lot in a positive way. You know, I think things that go on in society and in our culture, you know, spills over into athletics. And these guys-- rightfully so-- have gained more and more of a platform to be able to express themselves, and I certainly support their right to do that.
