“90 Day”: Sarper Thinks He's Entitled to 'Choose' Shekinah's Nose Job, Family Rifts Lead to Breakdowns in “Other Way” (Exclusive)

PEOPLE exclusively debuts the trailer for an all-new season of '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way', premiering on July 1 on TLC

Secrets are coming out and vows are put to the test in an all-new season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.

In the trailer for the new season of the TLC series, which PEOPLE can exclusively premiere, two couples – Shekinah and Sarper and Statler and Dempsey — return while four new couples are introduced, and they’re all finding out what happens when love crosses international borders.

The new season sees couples fight for their love in China, Iceland, Ireland, Turkey, Indonesia and England as "financial differences and family rifts are on full display while secret marriages and troublesome pasts come into play," per the official synopsis.

As the trailer begins, newcomer Corona, who hails from Pennsylvania, questions, "Can Iceland handle me?" as she moves from the U.S. to be with Ingi, who she met on a night out in the country. Her family has concerns, too, as they ask her, “Are there Black people in Iceland?” and she replies unconvincingly, “There’s, like, five Black people in Iceland.”

Returning couple Statler and Dempsey are getting ready to start their van life together, and feel like they "can do anything," as Dempsey declares, "The world is our oyster." Later, though, tensions peak as Statler feels "panicked," and Dempsey accuses her of being "rude."

"Maybe we just don't get each other, period. Full stop," Dempsey suggests, to which Statler says, “Now you’re talking about breaking up? This is too f---ing much.”

The other returning couple this season are also in some hot water, as Shekinah tells her friends that Sarper has "designed a new nose" for her, to their dismay.

"I am the one who will look at [it] every morning, every night," Sarper says of the rationale behind the major cosmetic surgery as Shekinah prepares. "So, let me choose.”

The three other new couples are James and Meitalia, Joanne and Sean, and Josh and Lily, all of whom will face their own challenges this season.

James is "leaving everything behind" to Meitalia, who he calls "Tata," and when he arrives in Indonesia to be closer to his wife's family, he not only feels like he's "stepping into a prison" when he sees where he's expected to live — he also is losing control of his marriage.

"I have no idea what's happening anymore," he says as his wife breaks down to her parents about "burdening" them, and her father asks her to kiss her mother's feet for forgiveness.

Joanne and Sean are running into some family issues, too, as they are "actually married," despite no one knowing. Joanne's mother accuses her of marrying "a total stranger," and disapproves of her decision to move to Ireland to be with him.

Sean, meanwhile, describes himself as "not your typical Irishman" as he admits that his "type" is "American-Italian MILFs."

Josh and Lily are the final couple this season, and family poses a challenge for them, too, as he accuses Lily's daughter of trying to "destroy our marriage" in the trailer, to which Lily replies, "Our marriage [can] not go on."
