A pedestrian hit in a crash on McNorton Street earlier this week has now died, Windsor police say.

The 87-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car on McNorton Street, near Heron Terrace retirement home and East Riverside Park in the city's east end on Monday morning, police said at the time.

On Thursday police said in a statement the 87-year-old woman had died as a result of her injuries. She was not identified by police.

Police have not said whether anyone was arrested or charged related to the crash.
