Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away has aired a highly tense week of episodes in Australia, with Colby Thorne finally facing arrest thanks to "Witness X" and his loved ones all left in turmoil after his comeuppance.

Meanwhile, the Parata family faced a nail-biting stand-off with some dangerous enemies – and the problem is far from resolved.

Here are seven big questions we've been left with after the latest Summer Bay drama.

1. Will Jasmine become a mum?

Home and Away hinted at a surprising new storyline for Jasmine this week as she confided in Irene about her desire to become a mother. She explained that she'd like to follow in the footsteps of Tori by coming up with a co-parenting arrangement and having a baby with a friend.

Not messing around, Jasmine made plans to approach Colby with the proposal, full of enthusiasm about how he's one of the best guys she knows. Rather awkwardly, this all turned sour when Colby was publicly arrested for murder before she got a chance to ask him. Back to the drawing board...

With Colby's future now looking bleak, it seems that Jas will have to reconsider her options just a tad – but is it really the last we'll hear about her motherhood dreams?

2. What has Witness X told Angelo?

In long-awaited scenes, Angelo finally went ahead and arrested Colby for Ross's murder. Colby refused to answer any questions, but was formally charged based on the evidence that Angelo already had.

The major turning point in the case appeared to be Witness X's statement, but the mystery of this person's identity hadn't been resolved by the end of the week. Angelo didn't even reveal exactly what this individual had shared.

Angelo's superiors in the police force have warned him that Witness X's evidence is circumstantial and may not necessarily be the exciting breakthrough he needed. This could perhaps point to someone who knows Colby's guilt but wasn't there to see it unfold with their own eyes, such as Bella, Nikau, Willow or Ziggy.

For now, the mystery continues...

3. How much danger are the Parata family in?

It was a difficult week for the Parata family, as Tane missed his deadline to pay back his criminal contacts for some drugs that he'd lost. Tane was facing demands for $25,000 as compensation, but failed to come up with the required payment on time.

Leon and his heavies arrived at the Parata house and tried to threaten Tane, leading to a fight, but all of the brawlers were arrested when Ryder wisely called the police.

At the police station, there was honour amongst thieves as the Paratas and their enemies all made bogus excuses for the fight to get themselves out of trouble. Once they were released without charge, though, Tane was warned that the grudge was far from resolved.

Tane and Ari were certain that their enemies would be back and both agreed that they couldn't afford to relax. And with Nikau now opting to stay in the Bay with Bella, he could also be in the firing line.

4. Is Colby in danger?

Angelo ended the week by warning Colby that he may not be released on bail. He plans to paint Colby as a potential flight risk, which would mean him being locked up on remand ahead of his trial.

Colby panicked upon hearing this news, knowing that a policeman would be a major target for violence and threats in prison. Unsurprisingly after weeks of animosity, Angelo wasn't too sympathetic.

Dean expressed similar fears for Colby's safety, even questioning whether he should hand himself in so that he could be there to protect him. Could Colby be about to face a turbulent time behind bars, or will he be granted bail and score a new victory against Angelo?

5. How will Mackenzie find out the truth?

Home and Away's Witness X promo showed Mackenzie seemingly aware of the truth behind Ross's murder, but these scenes still haven't aired yet. Instead, Mackenzie expressed her shock over Colby's arrest and naively made several remarks protesting his innocence.

After the pier apartment was trashed by the police, who were looking for evidence, Bella and Nikau decided to move in with Ziggy and Mac at the Astoni house for a while.

Could one of them ultimately let the truth slip to Mac? Let's face it, Colby's guilt is Summer Bay's worst-kept secret at this point.

6. Is there still hope for Dean and Ziggy?

The arrest of Colby led to emotional scenes for Dean, as Ziggy tried to talk him out of handing himself in too.

Dean was clearly at rock bottom as he admitted that he'd already lost everything after their break-up, so was willing to go back to prison out of loyalty to Colby. It was clear that he might change his mind if Ziggy gave him a reason to stay in the Bay.

Ziggy also acknowledged the unfinished business between her and Dean when she had a heart-to-heart with Willow later on. She admitted that she may have judged Dean too harshly when she dumped him a few weeks earlier, but didn't want him to base such big decisions about his future on her.

Later, Ziggy had to break Dean's heart all over again by telling him that nothing had changed between them. Does this pave the way for the long-expected Tane and Ziggy romance? Or could the feelings between Ziggy and Dean still be revisited one day?

7. Can Owen and Roo ever get past Evan?

Roo recently returned to Summer Bay without Owen and refused to reveal why their relationship had gone wrong during their trip away. With Owen finally making a reappearance this week, all became clear – and the details were pretty cringeworthy.

Roo confided in Marilyn about how she'd accidentally called Owen "Evan" when they were in bed together, which left her mortified at the time. It also raised some important questions about whether she's only with Owen because of his physical resemblance to his late twin.

In a stubborn and embarrassed mood, Roo tried her best to avoid Owen following his visit but eventually had to face him. Can they find a way to sort this out?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
