7 Home and Away questions we have after this week's Australian episodes

From Digital Spy

Home and Away spoilers follow from this week's Australian episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired another four new episodes in Australia this week, as Angelo Rosetta finally made progress with the investigation into Ross Nixon's murder.

Mackenzie Booth's chemistry with Tane Parata was also revisited, leaving us all to wonder how long it'll be before things go further between them.

Here's seven big questions we've been left with after the latest episodes.

1. Will Bella expose Colby's secret?

Bella seemed to have turned a corner this week as she tried to move on from the trauma of Ross's body being found. With the stress of the police investigation easing slightly, she concentrated on her relationship with Nikau, which seemed to be going from strength to strength.

Sadly for Bella, her happiness didn't last for long when a casual conversation with Irene tipped off Angelo over her recent runaway attempt.

As Irene let slip that Bella took time away from the Bay recently, Angelo realised that he didn't get the real story over her suspicious no-shows at the police station.

Before long, Angelo did some speedy detective work and discovered that Bella and Nikau left Summer Bay on one-way tickets. This showed that Bella was planning to run away and had no intention of coming back. Definitely a sign that she has something to hide...

Angelo later hauled Bella down to the police station for another round of questioning. With the pressure mounting, how will she explain herself? Will she still be able to protect the secret that Colby killed Ross?

2. Are Colby's helpers in trouble?

Bella wasn't the only Summer Bay resident facing potential trouble with Angelo. As the no-nonsense detective looked through flight records as part of his investigation, he discovered that Nikau accompanied Bella on her getaway flight.

Angelo also saw that Ari, Tane and Mackenzie made their own trips to get the troublesome teens back, implicating them in whatever suspicious activity was going on.

The Parata family have tried to make a fresh start since moving to Summer Bay, turning their backs on the criminal lifestyle. But could they now face their own potential trouble with the police after unwittingly getting caught up in Colby's mess?

3. Will Tane and Mackenzie's scare draw them closer?

It was another eventful week for Tane, as two dodgy guys from his past turned up in Summer Bay and tried to tempt him into carrying out a criminal job. When Tane refused, the two villains caused a commotion at Salt to unsettle him, before one of them went a step further and stabbed him with a broken bottle.

Tane's injuries could have been a lot worse, but he still required a trip to the hospital for a check-up. Mackenzie accompanied him for the visit, but suffered a panic attack when they got trapped in a lift together.

Mackenzie saw another side to Tane when he kindly comforted her through the scary ordeal, which brought back memories of the hospital siege from a few months ago.

Mac has always insisted that she couldn't be with a dodgy guy like Tane, even though there's clearly an attraction between them. Could their touching moment have brought them closer?

4. Will Ari find out the truth about Tane's attack?

Ari wasn't present for the violent attack on Tane, so didn't get to find out the whole story behind what happened. Tane and Mackenzie both decided to keep quiet about the crucial fact that he knew his attackers, rather than them being strangers who visited Salt by chance.

This situation left Mackenzie feeling uncomfortable, as she'd previously made a promise to Ari that they should never lie to each other. Despite this, she ultimately decided to respect Tane's wishes by keeping quiet.

Ari knows about Mackenzie's complicated history with Tane, so how would he feel if he ever found out they were keeping secrets from him? Our guess is that he wouldn't be too happy...

5. Will Justin's surgery be a success?

Justin started the week feeling adamant as ever that he didn't want to undergo surgery for the tumour on his spine. His biggest fear was that the operation could have complications, leading to permanent paralysis.

Although it seemed that Justin may never change his mind, he was given food for thought when his daughter Ava made a return trip to the Bay. Seeing Ava's reaction to his issues, and realising that he wanted to be there for her for as long as possible, Justin finally agreed to undergo the surgery.

New doctor Christian Green admitted that he could give Justin no guarantees over the surgery, so it's clear there are risks involved. Will there be a happy outcome for Justin?

6. Will Roo and Owen become a strong couple?

The arrival of Evan's long-lost twin brother Owen in Summer Bay has led to a classic "will they / won't they?" scenario with Roo, who can't quite seem to decide whether she wants to date him or not.

Roo fell for Evan before his death and is now exploring a chemistry with Owen, despite the unsurprising strangeness involved in the situation.

This week, Roo arranged a date with Owen but bailed at the last minute when she remembered Evan and became emotional. Despite this, Owen managed to charm Roo again the following morning and there was a sense that there was still hope for them. Can they make things work?

7. Has Jasmine finally turned a corner?

Jasmine's story has taken centre stage on Home and Away for the past few months, but it seems that she may now be back to her old self. After agreeing to regular counselling and seeking closure by visiting Robbo's grave earlier this month, Jasmine has started to move forward in life.

Jasmine seemed brighter than she'd been in months after a night out with the girls. In a clear example of the tables turning, she was even the one to support Tori through the stress of worrying over Justin. Has she finally had the closure she needed?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
