The European Union's executive body proposed Monday that the bloc's 27 nations impose more travel restrictions to counter the worrying spread of new coronavirus variants but make sure to keep goods and workers moving across EU borders. Amid concerns related to the production and delivery of COVID-19 vaccines, the European commission urged EU nations to reinforce testing and quarantine measures for travelers as virus mutations that are more transmissible threaten to overwhelm European hospitals with new cases. More than 400,000 EU citizens have already died from the virus since the pandemic first hit Europe last year.
Scolari, who also coached Chelsea, Gremio and Palmeiras, took over at the troubled side in October last year when they were 19th in the 20-team league, with just 12 points from 15 games. They currently sit 12th in Serie B, safe from relegation but with no chance of being automatically promoted back to the top tier. “Collaborating with the club during the most challenging moment in its history, Scolari and his staff fulfilled the important recovery mission,” Cruzeiro said in a statement.

Dominion Voting Systems filed a defamation lawsuit on Monday against Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who led the former president's efforts to spread baseless claims about the 2020 election. The lawsuit seeks more than $1.3 billion in damages for the voting machine company, a target for conservatives who made up wild claims about the company, blaming it for Trump's loss and alleging without evidence that its systems were easily manipulated. Dominion is one of the nation's top voting machine companies and provided machines for the state of Georgia, the critical battleground that Biden won and which flipped power of the U.S. Senate.
Warning: this article contains spoilers from Netflix’s “Bling Empire” When “Bling Empire” viewers first meet Kelly Mi Li and her boyfriend Andrew Gray, they’re making out clad only in their bath towels. The couple is then whisked off to Paris for Kelly’s birthday. But that dream getaway becomes a nightmare when Kelly leaves to go shopping without telling Andrew. He then angrily berates and curses her out over the phone. The Paris trip leads Kelly and Andrew to re-evaluate their relationship. They seek couples therapy and decide to separate, with Kelly moving out and even going on a date with her castmate Kevin Kreider. However, in the last scene of the season finale, Kelly returns to Andrew and the couple embrace. The Paris trip was filmed in late 2018 and the series wrapped production a year later. So are “Bling Empire’s” Kelly and Andrew together? Kelly Mi Li and Andrew Gray struggle with their relationship (Photo: Netflix) “It was hard to watch because it was a dark time — one of the darkest times of my life,” Kelly told TheWrap’s Lawrence Yee. “Watching it back was very hard to digest but also at the same time there was a very positive feeling because we came so far in a short two years.” Yes, Kelly and Andrew are still together in 2021, although they separated for six months after production and are currently living apart. “We wrapped October/November 2019. January 2020 was when we said, ‘Hey, let’s not talk. Let’s take a break,” Kelly recounted. “About June or July was when we started spending more time together but right now we’re still living separately, and I think we’re going to keep it like that for a while.” That break — and the coronavirus pandemic — allowed Kelly and Andrew to focus on themselves. “We are doing so well,” Kelly continued. “Andrew is doing so well. The darkest secret that he had was his anger issue. He’s done a lot of work a lot on growth and a lot of therapy that I’m so proud of. We have not gotten into anything close to [the Paris call]. Of course, we’ve gotten into disagreements but he’s been very calm and he’s even calmed me down where he’s like, ‘Let’s take a deep breath before we talk.'” Kelly and Andrew actually watched “Bling Empire” together when the docusoap was released on Netflix. “It was difficult,” Kelly admits. “He took it pretty hard because of all the social media comments.” “I got a lot of DMs — most of them were women and some men — who said those scenes reminded them of a past relationship or a relationship they are currently in,” she added. “Some of my DMs are really long and I’m really grateful they’re sharing their story with me. It just also shows there are a lot of people traumatized in the world and when they don’t heal themselves they end up hurting the people around them. I just pray for healing and hope they find peace.” Both Kelly and Andrew are continuing individual therapy and will begin couples therapy when they are ready to move onto that part of the course. “One of the things I really want to address is mental health awareness, especially with the stigma in the Asian community. Growing up you don’t talk about your problems; you repress everything because you’re not supposed to air your dirty laundry. You get personal trainers for your body; you should 100% get therapy for your mind and your mental health,” Kelly said. “Bling Empire” currently airs on Netflix. The statue of a former Lord Mayor of London should not be taken down but rather kept in place to educate future generations about the evils of slavery, a campaign group said on Monday. City of London representatives agreed last week to remove a statue of William Beckford from its Guildhall home as part of a wider debate about how Britain remembers and represents history, following last year's Black Lives Matter protests. Beckford was twice Lord Mayor of London in the 18th century and had plantations in Jamaica with slaves.
