Nueces County, Texas, is basking in the power of community.

On Aug. 21, the Facebook page for Nueces County posted that animal services officers were looking after six golden retriever puppies found abandoned on a beach.

The post added that the puppies appeared healthy and were 3-4 months old. The county also asked animal lovers interested in adopting the pups to contact Nueces County Animal Services to learn more. Nueces County included several photos of the puppies relaxing in a vehicle after officials picked them up from the beach.

Nueces County officials didn't have to wait long to find a loving home for the recently discovered golden retrievers. Scott Cross, a Nueces County coastal parks director, told 3News that all six puppies had adopters lined up less than four hours after the dogs were found abandoned on the beach.
