6 celebrity looks from the 2024 Grammys that missed the mark — sorry
  • Celebrities made a splash at the 2024 Grammys in Los Angeles on Sunday.

  • Some pulled off daring looks, while others didn't quite hit the mark with their outfits.

  • Here are six celebrity looks from the music awards show that stood out for the wrong reasons.

The 2024 Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, bringing together entertainment legends for an evening celebrating music.

While some celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Coi Leray pulled off daring ensembles, other famous faces walked the red carpet in outfit choices that either stood out for the wrong reasons or leaned toward forgettable.

Here are six Grammy Awards red-carpet looks that missed the mark, in our opinion.

Kat Graham wore a dramatic dress and cape that would've worked better without the gloves.

Graham wore a white Stéphane Rolland dress with a cape that served as the top half. It also featured a bold cutout across the waist and was completely backless.

The only issue with "The Vampire Diaries" star's ensemble was her choice of accessories. She should've ditched the long white gloves, as the gown was dramatic enough to stand on its own.

Ed Sheeran looked cool in camouflage on the red carpet but was let down by his footwear.

Camouflage isn't easy to pull off, but the "Shape of You" singer looked sharp in a green-and-taupe Stella McCartney set from the designer's "All Together Now" Beatles capsule collection.

The only letdown was that Sheeran didn't stick to his Army-themed ensemble with his footwear. To really complete the look, he should've ditched the black sneakers for combat boots.

Annaleigh Ashford's embroidered minidress would've hit the mark in a different color.

The singer wore a sheer, nude-colored Oscar de la Renta minidress adorned with silver embroidered leaves. She accessorized with a marble clutch and gold stilettos.

Sheer outfits were popular on the red carpet, so celebrities had to go bold to stand out. Ashford's look could've popped more in a different color palette, like gold, which would've perfectly coordinated with her accessories.

Calvin Harris wore a 1970s-inspired patterned suit that clashed with his top.

The retro-inspired tan suit featured flared pants and peaked lapels. The DJ styled it with shiny brown dress shoes.

Given the pattern of the suit was already quite bold, the brown-and-gold button-up shirt he layered underneath clashed. Harris could've worn a black or dark-brown turtleneck that would've aligned with his vintage aesthetic and let his suit shine.

Doja Cat's see-through dress was eye-catching, but the look needed different accessories.

Doja Cat's wispy Dilara Findikoglu dress was completely see-through and featured a corset that bared her upper chest.

Credit should be given to the singer for not shying away from daring fashion. However, her accessories — red snakeskin Alexander Wang heels and dramatic black-rimmed glasses — were too distracting.

Ditching the glasses and opting for shoes in a neutral color would've allowed the dress to take the spotlight fully.

Kelly Clarkson's off-the-shoulder bridal-inspired gown was beautiful but forgettable.

Clarkson's custom Jason Wu evening gown leaned into the bridal-inspired trend celebrities seem to be flocking to this awards show season.

Although the off-the-shoulder dress was elegant, it lacked a certain level of edginess that red-carpet fashion at the Grammys is known to have. The dress would've been more memorable if it had incorporated embellishments or different colors.
