5 charged, 1 wanted in connection with murder of missing man in Windsor

Police have charged five people with murder — and issued an arrest warrant for another — after a man was first reported missing in late May in Windsor.

Authorities say 27-year-old Dalton Robert Bartnik was last seen on the evening of March 24.

They investigators have concluded Bartnik was murdered on or around April 1 although his remains still have not been recovered.

The accused in custody range in age from 24 to 38. Three are charged with first-degree murder. A warrant for first degree murder was issued for one man who is currently in custody for other charges. A first-degree murder warrant has also been issued for a 21-year-old who remains outstanding. One of the accused has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
