If the animal endangers the health or safety of residents.
If the animal goes against any state/local authority’s laws and regulations.
AND, all this applies only if your pet is licensed, so be a responsible pet owner and apply for their license as soon as you start taking care of them!

How Do I Convince My Landlord to Allow My Pets To Live With Me?
If you’re keen on renting a unit and bringing along your furry friend, landlords might be a bit tricky to convince as some of them do not support the idea of pets in the premises (although the property is perfectly pet-friendly).
So, here are some tips on what you can do:
Show records of your pet’s health and vaccination history to ensure that they’re healthy and won’t pose a menace.
Gather testimonials from your current landlord and/or housemates, neighbours, and current management of where you’re living to testify your pet’s good behaviour (and yours!).
Put together a convincing proposal that includes the harmlessness of your pet’s breed and reasonable clauses that you agree to abide by, or else will leave the premises willingly.
Be willing to offer a bigger deposit as that means you’re a credible and responsible tenant, and pet-owner.
If things don’t go in your favour, remain polite and courteous; say thank you and move along. Do not pressure, guilt-trip, or worse, extort them.
The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has also introduced updated bylaws that allows pets in high-rises/apartments.
Although it’s unclear if this only applies to properties under MPSJ jurisdiction, those who are living in Subang Jaya will be delighted to know that they can now keep pets in their units, legally!
