23-year-old video of Ke Huy Quan in his first Marvel movie job resurfaces after his 'Loki' debut

A video of Ke Huy Quan working on the set of the 2000 Marvel movie “X-Men” has resurfaced as the actor made his MCU debut in “Loki” Season 2.

Past clip: The video was first uploaded by X user @mccrabb_will in January, showing Quan, 52, teaching Hugh Jackman and a stunt double a fight choreography while filming on the set of “X-Men.”

Re-sharing the video: Another user re-shared the same video on Saturday, just two days after Quan made his MCU debut in “Loki” Season 2 as Ouroboros or O.B., the Time Variance Authority’s head of Repairs and Advancement department. The repost has since garnered over 6.9 million views.

Nods to his past roles: Quan’s O.B. is reportedly a nod to his past roles, including his character Waymond Wong in “Everything Everywhere All At Once” — for which he won an Oscar and a Golden Globe — which is also centered around a multiverse plot, like in “Loki.”

Quan’s character in “Loki” also appears to be a nod to his “The Goonies” character Data, a prolific child inventor. In the MCU series, O.B. is tasked with handling all the technology within the TVA.

Working behind-the-scenes: After failing to land more roles following his child actor success in “The Goonies" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” Quan took a break from acting in Hollywood and instead took on roles in overseas production.

He continued to pursue his passion for movies by studying at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, and after graduating in 1999, he worked his way to behind the camera and eventually landed a job as an uncredited stunt rigger and assistant fight choreographer in the 2000 movie “X-Men.”
