13-Year-Old Rescued From Treacherous River Amid Pakistan Floods
A rescue team braved treacherous waters in a dinghy to save a 13-year-old boy trapped in the middle of a river in Pakistan, footage posted on August 30 shows.
The footage, posted by Pakistani emergency services, shows the teenager trapped on a rock in the middle of the Panjkora River. Two rescuers are seen paddling towards the boy in a dinghy, before assisting him safely onto their boat.
Pakistan has been battling widespread flooding, with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) putting the death toll at least 1,136.
