Entering a new year can bring up feelings ranging from “Omg, I can’t believe the year is over” to “I’m so happy this year is over!!!” But regardless of how you feel heading into 2025, there’s one thing we can all agree on: We’re stoked The White Lotus is coming back! Oh, not a White Lotus fan? What about Andor? Or Stranger Things? Or maybe I can interest you in a new Marvel series or a comedy starring Seth Rogen? There’s plenty to chose from when it comes to the new TV show releases of 2025, from shows that went on long hiatuses returning for new seasons to prequels and sequels to brand-new series. Read on to find out which ones you won’t want to miss.

Yellowjackets

On Paramount+ with Showtime February 14

Yellowjackets is returning after last airing new episodes in May 2023. All of the cast members—well, the ones whose characters survived in the first two seasons—will return to the show as they delve further into the past and present of the soccer team and their plane crash disaster.

The White Lotus

On HBO and Max February 16

After over two years off the air, The White Lotus’s third season will follow a new group of intriguing visitors at yet another White Lotus resort. This time, the location is Thailand, and we’re getting the return of Natasha Rothwell’s character, Belinda, the spa manager from season 1. The rest of the cast includes Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Suits: L.A.

On NBC February 23

The many, many people who streamed Suits when it hit Netflix will be thrilled about this development: more Suits! The show is getting a second spin-off, Suits: L.A. There’s a new cast, featuring Stephen Amell, Bryan Greenberg, Lex Scott Davis, and Josh McDermitt. But for fans of the original, Gabriel Macht is returning in a recurring role as Harvey Specter.

Daredevil: Born Again

On Disney+ March 4

The Marvel superhero Daredevil (aka Matt Murdock) is getting a new series with Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox—who previously played the role on the Netflix series Daredevil and in a couple of other MCU projects—reprises his role as the lawyer/vigilante.

The Studio

On Apple TV+ March 26

Seth Rogen stars in the new comedy series The Studio, which he also cocreated. The show follows the new head of a struggling movie studio who is trying to keep the company afloat while dealing with the dramas and demands of coworkers, actors, and filmmakers. Costars include Catherine O'Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and Chase Sui Wonders.

Andor

On Disney+ April 22

Andor, which last aired in November 2022, is back at last for its second and final season. Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor in this Star Wars series that is set before his character becomes a key member of the rebellion in Rogue One.

Ironheart

Disney+ June 24

Along with Daredevil: Born Again, another MCU show premiering this year is Ironheart, which is based on the character Riri Williams/Ironheart. The miniseries stars Dominique Thorne, who also played the role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. To jog your memory: She’s the MIT student who was thrown into the superhero world after she built a vibranium detector and an impressive suit of armor.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

On HBO and Max date TBD

Learn more about House Targaryen history with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a Game of Thrones prequel. The show is based on George R. R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg books and is focused on the knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and the child prince Prince Aegon Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell).

Stranger Things

The final season of Stranger Things is finally set to be released this year. The buddies return to once again confront the Upside Down, top-secret Soviet research facilities, and ranging teenage hormones.

The Last of Us

On HBO and Max date TBD

The video game adaptation The Last of Us is getting a second season two years after the first one aired. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey both return to the world of the zombie apocalypse as Joel and Ellie, with the events set five years after those of the first season.

And Just Like That...

On HBO and Max date TBD

The sequel series that Sex and the City fans love to hate (or hate to love? or genuinely just love?) is coming back for season 3. We’ll find out what happens after Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan (John Corbett) decide to put their relationship on pause.
