A 10-year-old sole survivor of a family murder-suicide dialed 911 after waking up and discovering five bodies at home, Oklahoma City police said Tuesday, April 23.

Speaking at a press conference the authorities revealed that they received a call at 9:35 a.m. local time on April 22 from a 10-year-old who stated that “everyone inside the home appeared to be dead.”

It followed news that “sometime overnight” the child's father Jonathon Candy, 42, “became involved in an altercation” with his wife Lindsay Candy, 39, before fatally shooting her multiple times.
