Indian shares provisionally end 1.5 pct lower

BANGALORE, Aug 28 - Indian shares provisionally fell 1.54 percent on Thursday, ahead of weekly inflation data that is expected to have hit a 13-year high of 12.8 percent in mid-August. Reliance Industries <RELI.BO> led the losses. A fall in European markets also weighed on sentiment, traders said.

The 30-share BSE index <.BSESN> provisionally ended 219.81 points down at 14,076.98, with 24 components falling.

The 50-issue NSE index <.NSEI> provisionally fell 1.66 percent to 4,221. (Reporting by Sumeet Chatterjee; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
