Vietnam H1 average inflation 10.27 pct y/y-report

HANOI, June 24 - Consumer prices in Vietnam in the first half of this year increased by an average 10.27 percent from a year earlier, slowing from an annual rise of more than 20 percent in the same period last year, a state-run newspaper said.

The consumer price index in June rose an estimated 0.55 percent from May, quickening from a monthly rise of 0.44 percent last month, the Vietnam Economic Times said in its online report , quoting Planning and Investment Ministry data.

It did not give the annual inflation rate for June. The government is expected to release full inflation data later this month.
