Goodman Fielder expects sale of fats arm soon

MELBOURNE, Nov 19 - Australian food manufacturer Goodman Fielder <GFF.AX> expects to sell its edible fats and oils arm soon and is in talks with one preferred bidder, it told shareholders at its annual meeting on Thursday.

The company, which makes Helga's and Wonder White bread and Meadow Lea margarine, had flagged it wanted to sell the fats and oils business about six months ago to focus on its retail brands.
