VIETNAMESE MAN ACCIDENTALLY KILLED BY ROOM-MATE

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- A Vietnamese man was accidentally killed by his room-mate in Taman Prima, Selayang, here today.

Gombak police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said in the 2am incident, the deceased, Nong Viet Dan had returned home highly intoxicated and had attempted to cut off his room-mate's left leg with a kitchen knife.

"His room-mate, Duong Van Huong, who was asleep woke up and was stunned to find Nong trying to sever his leg off," Abdul Rahim told Bernama today.

Duong tried to defend himself by pushing the knife away from Nong's hand but it accidentally penetrated Nong in the chest, Abdul Rahim said.

Nong was rushed to the Selayang Hospital but died seven hours later.

Police arrested Duong and seized the knife.
