MORE TERENGGANU FLOOD EVACUEES RETURNING HOME

KUALA TERENGGANU, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- More flood evacuees in Terengganu are allowed to return home as the flood in affected areas subsided further this evening.

A state security council spokesman said as at 4pm, there were only 1,107 people remained at 21 evacuation centres in Besut, Dungun, Setiu and Hulu Terengganu.

They comprise 32 in Besut, 534 in Dungun, 432 in Setiu and 109 in Hulu Terengganu.

There were those who had been allowed to return home but chose to remain at the centres for fear of a second wave of the flood.

"We have closed down 32 evacuation centres since noon today but they will be reopened in the event of another flood," he said.

The water level in all rivers was now below the danger level, he said.
