Advanced Antiviral Surgical Mask

Sunway, 5 November 2009 – Pharmaniaga, in collaboration with Filligent Ltd, yesterday launched BioMaskTM, in its support to the Ministry of Health to fight against the H1N1 pandemic.

Officiating the event was Director of Pharmacy, Ministry of Health (MoH), Pn Eisah Abdul Rahman who represented Deputy Health Minister, YB Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin.

The BioMaskTM is an Antiviral Surgical Mask that is different from normal masks in that it offers advanced protection through a 3-way biochemical action:

· First, it has enhanced viral filtration that traps and kills 99.9% of harmful germs. · Second, it provides rapid viral inactivation that kills virus in less than 1 minute, thus reducing cross-contamination. · Third, it offers enhanced comfort to the user as it has superior breathability and avoids heat and moisture build-up.

Pharmaniaga has been appointed as the sole distributor of BioMask for Malaysia as well as Brunei. This Antiviral mask is available for public at pharmacies nationwide.
