SUDANESE CHARGED WITH KILLING A THREE-YEAR-OLD

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- An unemployed Sudanese national was charged in the Kajang Magistrate's Court near here today with murdering a three-year-old girl in a condominium unit in Cheras on Oct 12.

Mohannad Taha Ismail, 24, is alleged to have killed Aaliyah Ayman Hussin Abdullah, at Tower 9/D3/9 Palazzo Tower, Venice Hill Condominium, Batu 9, Cheras, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

No plea was recorded.

Magistrate Faisal alias Amrin Noor Hadi fixed Jan 6 for mention pending the post-mortem and chemist's reports.

Deputy public prosecutor Nurul' Ain Abdul Rahim prosecuted while Mohannad was not represented.
