SECURITY GUARD FOUND MURDERED

JOHOR BAHARU, June 10 (Bernama) -- A security guard was beaten to death in the newly completed Ace Star Complex in Pontian near here yesterday.

The body of D.Jayapalan, 60, was found sprawled in a pool of blood by passers-by at 2.40pm, said Pontian OCPD Supt Zahaliman Jamin.

He said Jayapalan who was from Kulai was believed to have been hit by a hard object on his head and neck.

Three men aged between 34 and 45 have been arrested to assist in the investigations into the case, Zahaliman said when contacted today.

Police have yet to ascertain the motive of the murder.
